Grand Island Public Library

Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Public Library will join 23 other libraries across Central Nebraska for the inaugural Library Fall Crawl, taking place from Tuesday, September 2 through Sunday, November 30.

The Library Fall Crawl invites residents to visit libraries across 22 communities within the Central Plains Library System, exploring new spaces, attending programs and discovering the many resources each library has to offer.

To take part, patrons can pick up a free Library Crawl Passport beginning September 2. At each participating library, visitors will receive a sticker and staff initials to mark their stop. Completed passports with at least five stamps from five different libraries will be entered into a prize drawing. Passports may be turned in at the participant’s home library or the fifth library they visit.

The Central Plains Library System is sponsoring the event and providing three prize baskets, each valued at $250. Each basket includes the latest Amazon Kindle 16 GB eReader along with cozy items such as a fleece blanket, fuzzy socks, a mug, hot drink mixes and candles. Winners will be announced on Monday, December 15.
